International Mediation Intensive in Stockholm

Acting a third party is an opportunity to lend your communication skills to other in moments when they need it. “Sticking your nose into other people’s business” – doing informal mediation or doing it in a more formal ways is also a way to test your own skill and where you still need to practice, gain clarity or grow in empathy.

A Helping Hand

This is an intensive training with a lot of practice opportunity. We want you at least to have 10 days of NVC-training before this. You might want to come to deepen your skills in mediation or get enough mediation skills to get started in giving a helping hand whenever needed. There will also be an opportunity to learn how to teach mediation skills to others.

Every day will contain mediation practice, mediators- selfcare or empathy support, chances to ask and explore questions. We will cover informal as well as formal mediation, how to transform enemy images, shame and mediation, shuttle mediation between groups that does not want to see each other or meet, inner mediation (inner chooser/educator practice etc) deepening empathy, how clarity on key differentiations can contribute to clarity in knowing how and when to intervene as a mediator.

The training is partly based on the book by Liv Larsson A Helping Hand (available in Swedish, German, English, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Finnish).

Training will be conducted in English language, practice in smaller groups in other languages possible during training.
